Ο Slicer-FSP Dental Viewer είναι μια απλή, αυτόνομη και ελεύθερη εφαρμογή με την οποία ο οδοντίατρος μπορεί να επεξεργάζεται, να πλοηγείται και να αποθηκεύει τα ακτινολογικά διαγνωστικά στοιχεία ενδιαφέροντος που εντοπίζονται στα δόντια και τα οστά του προσωπικού κρανίου.

Στο βίντεο συνοψίζονται η ροή εργασίας και τα premium χαρακτηριστικά της εφαρμογής:

Εισαγωγή & 3D Rendering: Μετά το άνοιγμα, εισάγουμε τις εικόνες DICOM. Στην ενότητα ‘Εισαγωγές’ ρυθμίζουμε τη διαφάνεια του 3D (π.χ. για απεικόνιση σκληρών ιστών) και την «κλειδώνουμε» σταθερά με το κουμπί ‘Κλείδωμα’ για να μην αλλοιώνεται από επόμενες κινήσεις.

Σχεδιασμός Πανοραμικής Καμπύλης: Στην ενότητα ‘Καμπύλη’ τοποθετούμε σημεία στην περιοχή ενδιαφέροντος. Μετακινώντας το slider η εφαρμογή παράγει live μια custom διεπαφή 3 προβολών: την 3D ανακατασκευή, μια Κάθετη τομή (Cross-Section) και μια Εγκάρσια τομή (Axial).

Έλεγχος Κάθετης Τομής: Στην ενότητα ‘Κάθετη Τομή’ ρυθμίζουμε την κλίση της τομής στους άξονες X, Y, Z ή τη μετακινούμε με δυνατότητα ταυτόχρονης προβολής της μέσα στον 3D χώρο.

3D Πλοήγηση & Σταυρόνημα: Κυλώντας το ποντίκι πάνω στην κάθετη τομή με πατημένο το SHIFT, η κίνηση μεταφέρεται live στην εγκάρσια. Ενεργοποιώντας το Σταυρόνημα, παρακολουθούμε σε πραγματικό χρόνο το ακριβές σημείο ενδιαφέροντος στον τρισδιάστατο ακτινολογικό ανατομικό χώρο.

Μετρήσεις & Markups: Στις 2D τομές μπορούμε να αλλάξουμε την εστίαση (Zoom) ή να μετακινηθούμε στο επίπεδο της προβολής(Pan), προσθέτοντας μετρήσεις και markups από την πάνω μπάρα εργαλείων. Ανεξάρτητη Εντόπιση & Αποθήκευση: Στην ενότητα ‘Εντόπιση’ επιλέγουμε τον κωδικό της θέσης (π.χ. #14, #21) ή πληκτρολογούμε το όνομά της (π.χ. ‘#12 fracture’, ‘right mental foramen’, ‘#46 distal root canal’) και την αποθηκεύουμε. Από τη λίστα των αποθηκευμένων θέσεων μπορούμε να ανακαλέσουμε, να τροποποιήσουμε ή να διαγράψουμε κάθε θέση.

Έκδοση Αναφοράς PDF: Με ένα κλικ, το σύστημα φωτογραφίζει τις αυτόνομες τομές και εκδίδει μια αναφορά .pdf, έτοιμη για εκτύπωση ή άμεση επισκόπηση μέσα από το λογισμικό.

Slicer-FSP Dental Viewer is a user-friendly, standalone and free (Open-Source) application designed for dentists to efficiently process, navigate and record radiological findings of clinical interest within the jaws and facial skeleton.

This video summarizes the workflow and the core features of the application:

Import & 3D Rendering: After launching the app, import the patient’s DICOM images. In the ‘Inputs’ section, adjust the 3D rendering opacity (e.g., for bone visualization) and lock it using the ‘Lock’ checkbox to prevent any unwanted reset during navigation.

Panoramic Curve Generation: In the ‘Curve’ section, place control points along the dental arch. Moving the underlying slider generates a live 3-view layout: the 3D volume view, a perpendicular Cross-Sectional view (Red view) and an Axial view (Yellow view).

Cross-Sectional Fine-Tuning: In the ‘Cross Section’ section, you can angulate the perpendicular plane across X, Y and Z axes or translate it with the option to project the 2D plane directly into the 3D workspace.

3D Navigation & Crosshair Lock: By scrolling the mouse wheel over the cross-section while holding down the SHIFT key, the motion is actively transferred to the axial view. Activating the Crosshair allows precise, real-time tracking within the 3D radiological space.

Measurements & Markups: Easily pan or zoom within the 2D cross-sectional slices and add necessary linear or angular measurements using the native markup tools located on the top toolbar. Independent Location Logging: In the ‘Location’ section, select the anatomical site (e.g. #14, #21) or type its name (e.g. ‘#12 fracture’, ‘right mental foramen’, ‘#46 distal root canal’) and save it. Saved positions can be reviewed, modified or deleted at any time from the list.

PDF Report Export: With a single click, the software captures the independent views and generates a .pdf report, ready for immediate review or printing right inside the application.
